4M DESKTOP ROBOT 3357

DESKTOP ROBOT 3357
Build a robotic crab! The robot detects the edges of any surface to turn, avoiding falling. Activate it and place it on the table to watch it perform impressive stunts. Read the fun facts included in the instructions and learn interesting information about robots.

HOW IT WORKS: The battery supplies electricity to the motor, which turns the rotor at high speed. Gears reduce the speed of rotation so that the wheels turn quite slowly. It turns the two driving wheels and a third, single wheel at right angles to the others. This third wheel does not touch the table because of the roller. When the robot reaches the edge of the table, the rollers go over the edge, allowing the third wheel to pass the table. This causes the robot to spin until the rollers are brought back onto the table. The cams of the motor on the shaft push the plates on which the legs and calipers are attached to turn from side to side.
