FAUCET ROBOT CONSTRUCTION 3451
Build an awesome faucet robot! Learn about the science of pumping water. Become a real firefighter too.
HOW IT WORKS: The electric motor turns the gear on its axis, making the larger gear turn at a lower speed. The shaft causes the piston to react. The mechanism converts the circular movement of the gear into linear movement of the piston. When the piston moves up, it sends water into the cylinder from the long tube. This process is repeated several times a minute, creating a steady stream of water.
